Practice Principal Dr Amin Omidi

T he New Kings Road Dental Practice has been serving the community of Chelsea and Fulham for more than 20 years. Practice Principal Dr Amin Omidi explains that it welcomes new patients from the local and nearby areas, as he and his team are dedicated to sharing their “uniquely enriching treatment experience”. Amin tells The Parliamentary Review about what sets his practice apart. Having graduated from King’s College London in 1992, I began practising as a dentist just one year later. Initially working with 90 per cent NHS clients, I would often provide items which were not readily available from the NHS. Realising the situation was not ideal, I made the decision to leave after three and a half years in the hope of forming my own practice. Two and a half years after handing my notice in, I took over a formerly run-down practice in Tufnell Park and opened it to NHS patients. Having set up the practice by myself, I then had the freedom to bring in two associates and ultimately created this new venture as a private one. In order to build up my patient list, I offered all services possible, and brought in an orthodontic dentist early on. This allowed me to offer a range of services of the highest possible quality and attract new clients. Testament to the calibre of the service I was providing were the frequent visits from representatives from the NHS authority, who were interested to see what we were doing and how we were doing it. This in turn gave me the confidence to keep innovating.
